Thank you for visiting our ‘donate’ page. CPAN is not government funded and relies totally on grants, fundraisers and donations. We are blessed to have a very caring and generous community that has supported CPAN since inception. This allows us to continue to assist local children through our programming, raise awareness of the effects child poverty has on our children, and to advocate for change.
CPAN relies totally on donations of time, items, and money. Without the kindness and generosity of our donors we would not be able to exist.
TIME: CPAN has only one employee and relies heavily on volunteerism. We realize that everyone has different skills, connections, and time restrictions. CPAN does not expect numerous hours, and will work with volunteers so that they can enjoy the experience of volunteerism, and make sure it fits with their lifestyle. We do this by matching volunteers with work that fits their interests and skills, and expect only the amount of time that they are willing to give. We want all volunteers to enjoy their experience.
ITEMS: Operation Snowsuit relies heavily on donations of new and gently used winter wear items, we often send out emails or Facebook messages asking for specific items and sizes that we do not have (but desperately need for a child). On occasion we ask for help on behalf of families who are in crisis, this may be due to many things, including the loss of a home due to fire.
FINANCIAL SUPPORT: There are many ways that you can support us financially. A tax receipt can be provided for donations of $10 or more. Registered Charitable Number: 137275517RR0001 (Renfrew County Youth Services)
GIVING AT HOME: Monthly giving helping local children in need
When you join our monthly giving program you help to eliminate the effects that child poverty has on our local children in an inclusive and empowering manner. At least 90% of all funds raised using this initiative is going directly toward our programs.
Monthly giving is easy for you as it allows you to spread out the donation throughout the year, for as little as $10 per month (or less than 30cents per day) you can make a HUGE difference in the lives of local children in need. An annual tax receipt will be provided.
It is our hope that our monthly giving program will help build sustainability for our work, for as long as we have local children in need. Our work helps to remove barriers so that all children have the opportunity to reach their full potential in life.
