It’s that beautiful time of year again! Come celebrate with us at our annual CPAN fund-raiser Celebrating Colours: 2016 Music Fest  at our home in Mackey on September 24 from 3 – 8 pm.

Our wonderful local musicians are generously sharing their time and talent with us, and an abundant barbecue is your to be had for $25 a ticket. Enjoy around the campfire, bring chair, sweater, your favourite drink, and plates/cutlery, if you remember. There will be some dishes available lest you forget (or can’t wrap your head around it). But we ARE trying to go green.   

As most of you know, the Child Poverty Action Network (CPAN) is a grassroots organization whose mandate is to eliminate the effects of poverty in ways that are empowering and multifaceted. Programs include Tools for School, Operation Snowsuit, School Inclusion Project, Harmony, and the Good EGG (Edible Grassroots Gardens). CPAN reaches out to the community to educate and advocate for systemic change, as well as to help families access goods and services in conjunction with over 600 individuals and 62 agencies within Renfrew County. CPAN is not government funded and relies solely on grants, community fundraising and donations to stay in operation.
